The ground-breaking Robosapien robot from Character Options was confirmed as Toy of the Year, with Leapfrog taking the Company of the Year award at the annual TRA event.

Game of the year and Plush Toy of the Year were won by Hasbro, with Grossman, Bandai, TP Actvity Toys, Zapf Creation, Mattel, V-Tech, Tomy Vivid and Treasure Trove.

A Lifetime Achievement Award went to Tomy boss Alan Munn, who is retiring, while special recognition was also given to Casdon (Penny Falls); Dekkertoys (Spider-Man Suits) and Playmobile (Noah?s Ark).
