Robert Mann has re-emerged as the new president of Toystate Europe, as the vehicle specialist looks to significantly expand its presence across key territories.

Mann was formerly president of Tomy Europe and has some 30 years of experience in the business, both internationally and in Europe.

"This is a great opportunity for me, joining a progressive company with high expectations and a desire to be number one," said Mann. "The challenge will be to establish Toystate across Europe, supporting and growing existing countries while opening new markets and channels of distribution."

Toystate manufactures licensed and 'highly stylised' lights and sound vehicles. Its core portfolio include Road Rippers lights and sound vehicles, as well as Cat and Cat pre-school lights and sound construction toys.

Simon Cheng, chairman of Toystate International, added: "We are fortunate to have secured the talents of Robert for the European challenges ahead. Toystate as a company has seen significant growth within the US and Asia.

"Our expectations for Europe are high and Toystate is investing not only in good people, but in new production facilities and management, which will increase our capacity and ensure continued attention to quality and design.

"Toystate is actively looking for opportunities to enhance its portfolio by acquisition and/or partnership with other brands."
