University Games is launching its fast paced product Poppin’ Hoppies. The retro toy is making a comeback and has already won Best New Toy at this year’s Toy Fair.

The simple game features spring-loaded characters which players push down and then catch as they randomly pop into the air, keeping children on their toes throughout.

Each player has their own Hoppie figure, made up of coloured puzzle parts; they must catch the corresponding Poppin Hoppies to collect the pieces for the puzzle figure.

The winner is the first to catch enough of the correctly coloured Poppin’ Hoppies to complete their puzzle figure. There is a sense of suspense as the players will never know which Hoppie is going to pop up next.

The game comes with a large play mat which the characters spring off and can be set up on any flat surface.

The game can be played with two, three or four people and is recommended for children over the age of five. Poppin Hoppies will be priced at around £16.99.
