Paul Lamond has crowned the winners of its regional Perudo Championships qualifiers stage.
Mark Hall, winner of the Scottish regional qualifier, and Steve Fowler, winner of the Bristol regional qualifier, each saw off competition from around 30 players, all vying for a place in the finals.
The winners will now play in this year’s 25th anniversary Perudo World Championships, which will take place at The Groucho Club in Soho this November.
TV presenter and Perudo fan, Konnie Huq was on hand at last year’s event to host the inaugural proceedings, and this year, the Paul Lamond team is promising ‘another top celebrity.’
Richard Wells, sales director, Paul Lamond Games, said: “The regional qualifiers have been great fun and full of the usual nail-biting Perudo-playng tension.
“We are delighted with the success of the regional events. Mark and Steve played well and demonstrated a genuine passion for this game of bluff, counterbluff and hilarity.
“We look forward to seeing their skills in action in London later this year.”
There will be a further chance to qualify for the chance to qualify for the November Championships in a final regional event held in London in September.
Perudo currently retails for around £17.95 and is available at Harrods, Hamleys, John Lewis, WH Smith, Amazon and all good games shops.
