US firm Patch Products has announced global strategy to take 5 Second Rule to “more than 30 markets”, expanding on its existing distribution deals in Australia, South Africa, the Nordics, and Central and Eastern Europe.
University Games is the UK distributors for the board game.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to explore new territories,” said Brian Maxwell, president of Patch Products.
A hit in the US, 5 Second Rule is a trivia game where players get five seconds to name three things in a random category, such as super heroes or dog breeds. The game won a Best New Product Award at Toy Fair 2011.
The new European version promises to add more content in the shape of ‘Switch’ and ‘Pass On’ cards.
