A line of buildable spit ball blasters is looking to reinvigorate the build-your-own category with the launch of its latest Paper Shooter in time for Christmas.

A dinosaur inspired design called Extinction, the new blaster is currently being TV advertised, targeting both kids and parents alike as a means of encouraging ‘bonding experiences.’

“Kids don’t build things anymore, and we’re changing that,” said Mike Howarth, founder and creator of Paper Shooters.

“The whole idea is that children sit down with their parents and build the blaster over an afternoon, it’s a real bonding experience.”

Users can build all the components to each Paper Shooters blaster, including the air chamber, springs and trigger mechanism.

“They’re functional too, so when you have built it, you’ll need to master it by blasting the spitballs at the target,” continued Howarth.

“Each kit also comes with a mold to make spitballs from ordinary tissue.”
