Panini UK has picked up the Product of the Year accolade for its 2014 FIFA World Cup sticker collection at the NFRN Awards.

Held at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London on Tuesday, October 14th, the NFRN Awards honour both retailers and industry suppliers which have made an exceptional contribution to the success of the independent retailing sector.

Panini UK delivered record breaking sales with the sticker collection, with the independent sector being core to this success.

"In any retail marketplace, the Product of the Year is always a fiercely contested award," said Brian Murphy, NFRN head of news. "The Panini World Cup sticker collection inspired generations of would-be footballers to celebrate and join in with this number one sporting event.

"The NFRN were extremely pleased to give this award to Panini, not just for the significant sales revenue generated, but also for the excellence in availability, distribution, promotion and communication at our member stores."
