Outdoor toy brand BattleBox teams with Bear Grylls for new Expedition Kit

Grylls' endorsed adventure brand aims to get kids exploring the British countryside with new expedition kit.

The Bear Grylls-endorsed outdoor adventure brand, BattleBox has teamed with the intrepid adventurer again to create its new Bear Grylls Expedition Kit.

Designed to inspire children to get outdoors and explore the British countryside, the new expedition kit includes a pair of walkie-talkies with a range of 3km, and a tough backpack, a 'seven in one' survival tool complete with a compass and torch.

Founded by Emma de Vere Hunt in 2007, the BattleBox brand recently scooped a Highly Commended Award in the Outdoor Toys category of the Rainbow Toy Awards 2013.

BattleBox's partnership with Bear Grylls was first formed when Hunt sent the explorer and his children a BattleBox kit for Christmas. shortly after, Grylls worked with the brand to develop the first joint project, Bear Grylls Dangerous Den Kit.

The new Expedition Kit follows the launch Grylls' latest television show, Bear Grylls: Escape from Hell, following the stories from ordinary people stranded in dire situations.

Hunt said: "We're so excited about the launch of Bear Grylls: Escape from Hell and my son Edward can't wait to use his Bear grills Expedition Kit with all his friends.

"Bear is such a fantastic role model for young children and it's lovely to be working with him again."
