Outdoor Playtime Awards 2015 winners revealed

Winners included the Crazy Cart, NERF Zombie Strike Doominator and Interplay's Ant World.

The winners of the inaugural Outdoor Playtime Awards have been selected by a picky panel of 25 mini-toyminators.

Headed by six-year-old YouTube sensation Beau of Beau’s Toy Farm, the panel has chosen the ten best toys to get the kids outdoors this summer. 

The winning toys and games as picked by the pint-sized play experts, aged three to 16, are:

Beau and his toyminators were ably overseen by Fun Kids radio presenter Bex Lindsay and Toyologist Peter Jenkinson as they whittled down the most robust, fun and entertaining toys for outdoor fun this summer. 

“This category of toy is incredibly important to kids of all ages, getting them out and about, and facilitating collaborative play with their parents, siblings and friends," said Jenkinson.

"In an age where tech is king, it’s great to see that there is such a wide range of playthings on the market designed for the great outdoors – this list showcases the very best of the best.” 

Fun Kids' Bex Lindsay said: “The energy at the Outdoor Playtime Awards from all involved was amazing, I had such a superb time – possibly playing a little too much.” 

Beau added: “I really enjoyed the Outdoor Playtime Awards finals with the Toyminators, but boy was I sleepy on the way home."
