Optomen Television producers searching for indies to star in new shoplifting series

New show from producers of Mary Portas: Secret Shopper will feature crime prevention experts helping indies tackle shoplifting.

Optomen Television, the makers of Mary Portas: Secret Shopper, is searching for toy retailers to star in its new show, which tackles the issue shoplifting.

The new series will feature a leading crime prevention expert, who will be offering help to independent shops and businesses troubled by shoplifters.

Recent reports had revealed that retail crime costs business owners £1.6 billion each year.

Joe Newell, producer, Optomen Television, said: "Our programming aims to help independent shops and businesses by offering advice on the latest crime fighting technology, s well as providing some simple and easy to implement measures that could really make a difference when it comes to deterring potential criminals.

"So if you're a shop owner or manager and you'd like some advice on how to better protect your business against thieves, please get in touch."

The series is being made for a major broadcaster and will be transmitted early next year.
