It's official - the world's hottest boy band One Direction are fans of the premium scooter brand Razor.

The endorsement came in a Facebook post, with band member Liam Payne posting a picture of himself on a Razor Storm Ultra Pro Lo.

The post has so far scored over 57,000 Likes and 3,500 comments – not bad.

Razor has reported a bumper April with 60 per cent year-on-year sales growth. The scooters are distributed in the UK via Re:creation.

Katy Fletcher, brand manager for Razor, said: “As emerging global superstars, it’s fantastic to see One Direction on the Razor Storm Ultra Pro Lo. We’re excited that they are taking a keen interest in Razor and freestyle scootering.

“Our sports category is continuing to be an important part of our NPD for Razor this year, with releases such as the Storm and Pro lines proving immensely popular in the UK market, and we can only see this sector growing over the next 12 months.”

Fletcher also said that the brand would be looking to take further steps into the UK entertainment industry.

One Direction join other celebrity Razor fans such as Rizzle Kicks, who used a Razor scooter in one of their recent music videos.

It?s fair to say that Re:creation has had to deal with its own set of unique challenges over the past couple of years. However, with a new-look portfolio, key new hires and a buoyant Razor business, the firm is back and ready to shout about its transformation.
