The theme of next year's Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair will be Toys 3.0 - The Next Generation.

Exhibitors and manufacturers will be able to present and try out various appcessories and iToys, toys with digital and electronic components or virtual worlds on individually themed islands in a special area of the showfloor.

Spielwarenmesse will also be examining the consumer and user behaviour in a special study, with the results due to be presented at the central entrance to the fair.

"Besides slot car sets and cuddly animals, more and more devices from the multimedia segment are to be found in almost every kid's room," said Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse. "Especially classic toys that can be combined with smartphones or tablet PCs."

Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nuremberg runs from Wednesday January 30th to Monday February 4th, 2013.
