The signing takes the firm away from its core range of eco-friendly toys, but the wheeled toys are make in ethically sound factories, so tie in with Asobi’s ethos.
Emmanuel Nouveau from Baghera said: “We are very pleased to work with Asobi. Thierry Bourret, his team of agents and John Lewis the national account manager, will help us develop sales in UK and Eire.
“The immediate effect of having a UK-based distributor on the Baghera range is that delivery times are greatly reduced as the stock will be very shortly available for delivery from Warminster."
Thierry Bourret from Asobi added: “Although a departure from our core range of eco-friendly toys and games, we feel that Baghera is a great addition to the Asobi portfolio. When we looked at Baghera’s customer base and target market we realised there was a lot of common ground.
“Although not strictly eco-friendly the cars are made in factories that are ethically minded which have been personally checked by Emmanuel Nouveau the Baghera CEO. I would not compromise on this.
“We feel that, with our recent association with Junction 18 who are now handling our warehousing and distribution, we can handle this new range efficiently and are very excited to be working with Emmanuel and his team.”
