NMSI signs Amethyst as e-commerce partner

Firm will manage the warehousing and distribution of all products ordered from the Science Museum?s website.

Amethyst Group, one of the UK toy industry’s largest 3PL operators, won the long term contract working across all of the museums in the National Museum of Science and Industry (NMSI) group: the Science Museum, London, the National Railway Museum, York, and the National Media Museum, Bradford.

In addition to www.sciencemuseumshop.co.uk, www.nrmshop.co.uk, which went live in late 2009, is included in the brief.

Steve Booker, Amethyst’s chief operating officer said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the prestigious Science Museum to build on our considerable experience as an e-fulfilment provider.

“The museums are a welcome addition to our portfolio of consumer product and toy clients at our Wellesbourne facilities.”
