Japanese toy store Tokyo Toys has opened shop on Birmingham’s Corporation Street.

The Birmingham Mail reports that hundreds of people went mad for the opening, with zombies, monsters and other diehard fans arriving more than eight hours early.

With no more than half a dozen new customers being let in at once to prevent overcrowding in the shop, the afternoon queue stretched all the way down Corporation Street and around the corner into New Street.

The Manga and retro store is the second in the country after one at Trocadero in Piccadilly, London.
