New online retailer targets Easter push

A new online retailer is hoping to make its mark in the traditional toy market and is targeting the Easter market.

Bumblebee Toys is a family company specialising in traditional toys made in the UK and Europe. All its products are sourced from manufacturers using sustainable and recyclable materials, designed to stimulate, entertain and educate modern children.

The firm is pushing its Easter range of plush rabbits, bouncing pull-along wooden rabbits and pull-along ducks this Easter, as it looks to increase its profile.

"We believe in quality toys that will last and encourage imaginative play," says Stephen Watts, founder of Bumblebee Toys.

"All our toys are hand-crafted in Europe out of high quality, child-friendly materials. We selected this trio for Easter as giving excellent play value as well as the ever necessary ‘ahh’ factor."




Easter falling in March this year compared to April last year has boosted performance in the total traditional toy market. Value increased by nine per cent while volume sales grew by a staggering 17 per cent with average price declining from £5.56 to £5.21.
