Binweevils.com has further bolstered its team with the appointment of a new head of PR and communications.

Yinka Akindele (pictured) will lead the firm's communications strategy across both trade and consumer media.

She joins the firm from Turner Broadcasting, where she held the role of senior press officer for kids' brands including Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito and CNToo.

"Yinka has a wealth of experience to bring to the Binweevils.com business and an excellent reputation amongst her trade and consumer press colleagues," said Amelia Johnson, Binweevils' co-founder. "We're delighted that she's joining the strong team at Binweevils.com and are looking forward to seeing her implement her exciting communications strategy across all aspects of the growing business."

Akindele added: "I'm thrilled to join Binweevils at such an exciting time and look forward to playing a part in its continued success. It is a phenomenal brand, set to become even stronger in these coming months, and I will be working hard with the team to ensure Binweevils communication is reflective of its solid position in the market."
