Paladone has added five new games to its existing Guinness World Records Party Challenge range. The licensee is also introducing a new line of products called Inventions.
All of the new packaging features QR codes which link through to Guinness’ online social hub where challengers will be able to upload videos of themselves attempting the records.
Paladone’s new retro-inspired Inventions range is a series of ‘build you own’ projects including creating catapults, rubber band planes, cars and paper planes.
Both ranges will retail between £3.99 and £9.99.
Commenting on the new ranges, Sam Prosser, brand licensing manager, Guinness World Records, said: “Both our Paladone ranges give a unique insight to the world of breaking records and how they can be translated into varied products and tailored for different audiences. Hugely challenging, competitive and great fun and we are really pleased to see these new ranges in the marketplace.”
Hannah Scroggs, new product developer, Paladone Products, adds: “Our Guinness World Records Party sets proved a huge hit last year with consumers wanting to add a fun and unusual twist to their parties and demand has led to us adding more exciting challenges to the mix for 2012. In contrast, our Inventions range, new for 2012, gives people the opportunity to design and create their own record-breaking invention. Both ranges offer the chance to be a Guinness World Record holder.”
The Guinness World Records book sells three million copies each year in 21 languages and 100 different countries.
