Maury replaces Andy Tarshis, who is retiring from full-time employment in May.
In his new position, Maury will oversee a growing portfolio of consumer and retail point-of-sale tracking businesses in 11 countries, including France, UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. NPD offers services for the toy, beauty, foodservice and sports industries in Europe.
“Michel’s experience will be a great asset to NPD as we continue to expand our footprint in Europe and innovate to evolve with our industries,” said NPD President and Chief Operating Officer Karyn Schoenbart.
“With Andy at the helm, we made tremendous progress over the past 15 years. We are looking to build on that success with new initiatives that provide even more granular market views and enhanced consumer insights through a new online consumer panel.”
