My First Doll Maisie from Lamaze has scooped a Gold award in the Loved By Parents Awards for Best Stimulative Toy.

The award marks a significant achievement for the brand as the product was only launched this spring, tipping the range to be a top seller for babies and toddlers.

My First Doll Maisie is a full fabric doll with a detachable bib, ribbons and a Velcro nappy encouraging interaction at an early age.

The doll is just one line from Lamaze, a brand that incorporates developmental features coupled with brightly coloured patterns and fabrics to stimulate the senses and explore.

The Loved By Parents awards are popular across the nursery sector with all awards decided by public vote.

Tina Summer from Loved By Parents, said: "The awards this year have been absolutely phenomenal.

"We have been truly amazed by the standards of submissions once again and it was a very tough decision when it came to producing a shortlist in the first stage.

"We have watched in amazement as thousands of parents have voted and we are confident that the best ones, those which are truly loved by parents, have been honoured with a Loved By Parents Award."
