Kids super-brand Moshi Monsters is celebrating the release of its first fully-fleged studio album.
Costumed Moshi Monsters launched the album with celebrity guests at a special event held inside London's Hard Rock Cafe last week, while 'Mr Moshi' Michael Acton Smith signed copies of the album at HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store on Monday.
Released under the Moshi Monsters Music record label and distributed by Sony, the 12-track album was written and produced in-house at Moshi HQ in Shoreditch, London.
Mind Candy enlisted the talents of McFly producer Jason Perry – an ex-rockstar behind many of the band's number one hits.
Perry said: "We’ve been blown away by the pre-orders and really hope the album tops the charts this week. We had a blast laying down the tracks for this album and hope kids and parents love it just as much as we do.”
Last October, Mind Candy's music programme attracted controversy when Lady GaGa took legal action to block the release of a single by Moshi singer Lady GooGoo.
