The new Moshi Monsters Light Buddies will launch exclusively in The Entertainer first.

The 99p RRP products will roll out to Toys R Us and other High Street retailers soon after.

Zappar has teamed up with Milkshake and Mind Candy to launch the toys, which are "a fun and innovative alternative to the much-loved key chain, featuring a torch and Zappar powered features".

Users can download the free Zappar app on a smartphone or tablet and 'zap' one of the Light Buddies to see a video clip of their favourite Moshlings.

Kids can also take pictures or videos and share with friends and family.

There are 12 Light Buddies to choose from, including Lady Meowford, General Fuzuki, Liberty, Holga and Honey.

Caspar Thykier, Managing Director of Zappar, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with both Milkshake and Mind Candy. The Light Buddies are another fun way to bring a bit of Zappar magic to one of the world’s most loved brands through a new product.”

John Pearson, Director at Milkshake, added, "The Moshi Monsters Light Buddies are just another way for kids to enjoy the wonders of new technology. With Zappar’s help, kids have the opportunity to unlock a virtual world through their key chains."
