With just three months to go, Advanstar continues to notch up the exhibitor numbers for Brand Licensing Europe.
Visitors to the show - which will take place on October 2nd and 3rd at The Grand Hall, Olympia - can expect to see over 180 exhibitors and more than 2,000 properties. Amongst these will be 50 brand new exhibitors including the likes of Aardman Animations, Chapman Entertainment, Lego, Pokemon and The Licensing Company.
Firms returning to the event will include BBC Worldwide, Disney Consumer Products, Entertainment Rights, Hit Entertainment, Marvel, Granada Ventures, Sony Pictures Entertainment and 20th Century Fox.
In addition, The Licensing Academy has been attracting strong interest since its launch was announced. The high level, ten session seminar and workshop programme will run alongside the main event, covering a range of topics from understanding how pre-schoolers interact with licensed product and getting the retail environment right when selling to kids, tweens and parents, through to pricing strategies and ethical packaging.
The Screening Suite: Where Films Become Brands will also be returning, along with the Advice Centre.
"With three months to go, the 2007 event is shaping up extremely well," Jessica Blue, event director of Brand Licensing Europe, explained to ToyNews. "We are expecting over 180 exhibitors and are delighted to report that we are 40 per cent ahead on exhibitors compared to the same time last year.
