Mookie picked up master toy rights to the pre-school brand, which follows the fortunes of a friendly bee family, in December.

This August will see Mookie launch the plush range in various sizes.

The five inch plush minis include Buzzbee, Rubee, Feathers & Fluff and Worm while the 6.5 inch plush characters are Buzzbee, Rubee, Postman Spider and Barnabee.

Later in September the eight inch electronic Buzzbee plush will launch with a super sized 15-inch Buzzbee arriving some time in 2013.

Febuary / March 2013 will see the arrival of the interactive play-sets; The Hive, Watering Can, Playground and character sets.

According to BARB ratings The Hive is Disney Junior’s second highest rated show, attracting 175,000 viewers in its Thursday 17:53 time slot.

Guy Orr, director at Mookie Toys, said “We have tracked the brand from quite a long way out and seen the fantastic launch ratings grow and grow. We are thrilled to have the beautiful range of characters on board for Plush, and very excited that Buzzbee and Rubee will be the first of our range.”

The Hive has an extensive worldwide television presence with Disney picking up the show in over 150 countries.
