Mookie takes on Gosh! range

Mookie has signed an exclusive sales and marketing deal with licensed plush specialist Gosh, which will see it taking on distribution of its entire range, including new items based on Dreamworks' potential summer film hit, Over the Hedge.

The deal is with immediate effect and includes a number of big name licensed plush items including The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants and the aforementioned Over the Hedge which is released in July and features the voices of Bruce Willis, Avril Lavigne, William Shatner and Steve Carell.

Mookie sales and marketing director Ian MacCrimmon (pictured) told ToyNews: "It's gives us really high focus products with the film licence but also the other toy and gift items that give us a good back end as well."

Gosh's Michael Seres' said: "We needed to make a decision over whether to build an in-house sales and marketing team or look at a quicker route to market because we have a number of licences that need immediate distribution. So we went with a partner who had no competing products and could treat them uniquely."
