The firm has secured the exclusive UK and Irish rights to the pocket money range which features a number of Disney licenses including Cars, Disney Princess, Winnie the Pooh, Finding Nemo, Mickey Mouse, Incredibles and Toy Story.

Products include skipping ropes, paddle bats and yo-yos.

Managing director Mookie Orr said: "I am delighted with the acquisition, as the What Kids Want range delivers innovative, affordable toys which already have a dominant market share. It's a range that will enhance our domestic brands and increase the diversity of the items offered on FOB basis. Mookie Toys are embracing the pocket money toy market and the future is bright."

The move follows last week's announcement of a similar deal with French firm, Ecoiffier.
