Mookie celebrates Swingball's chart topping success this summer

The classic garden game has been named the number one toy of the industry for July by industry tracking group, NPD.

Mookie’s All Surface Swingball has been named the number one toy in the market for July, by the industry tracking group NPD.

In a bumper summer for the firm, Mookie has also claimed the number two spot with its Smart Trike 4 in 1, while its Pro Swingball, designed for teenagers and adults, came in at number 13.

The firm has credited the popularity of its classic garden game Swingball to an ‘ever-growing recognition of the heritage brand,’ as well as some ‘amazing PR activity,’ that has seen Swingball grace TV screens across the country from Wimbledon to Coronation Street.

‘The classic garden game has been a huge success for generations and Mookie is excited that it has reached the top of the chart for July, after narrowly missing out in June,’ read a statement from the firm.

‘Meanwhile, with the launch of the Smart Trike Recliner and a focused TV ad campaign, the brand remains as strong as ever.’
