Monsters University electronic learning toys launch this summer

InspirationWorks will release a tablet and smartphone in July to coincide with the movie.

A host of Monsters University electronic learning toys will hit UK shelves this summer.

InspirationWorks, the company behind the Kurio kids' tablet, has reached a deal with Disney to launch an officially licensed smartphone and tablet in July. These will feature the voices of Monsters University characters Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sulley (John Goodman).

The products are aimed at the pre-school market.

Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University movie, the prequel to Monsters Inc, arrives in the summer.

Tracey Devine, UK Marketing Director at InspirationWorks, said: "We are delighted to be launching new products inspired by Monsters University.

"We have already had a great response to the tablet and smartphone at our early previews."
