Mint Toys searches for young designers

Firm launches nationwide competition, asking kids to design a new Annoying Monster.

Mint Toys is working in conjunction with schools across the UK to find a new monster to join Aggravating Alfred, Bothersome Boris, Irritating Ether, Infuriating Igor and Pestering Percy.

The competition runs from now until November 25th 2011 and information about how to enter can be viewed on www.AnnoyingMonsters.com. Children of any age can enter and can also name their own Annoying Monster and write a short story about it.

All entrants will be published in the Annoying Monsters picture gallery where fans will be asked to vote for their favourite.

The winning monster will be made into a plush toy and the child will win their own monster and £130 worth of Annoying Monster Goodies. Schools participating will receive a large Annoying Monster and keychain to display in school or to use in internal competitions and if one of their pupils is the overall winner they will be given £250.

Lee Shawyer from Mint Toys said: "We’re delighted to launch this competition and can't wait to see the entries. There's no doubt that children have truly incredible imaginations so we are expecting some really fun designs.

"The child that wins will get their very own Annoying Monster designed just for them; it’s the kind of prize that money can't buy."
