MiniMonos - the virtual world with an environmentally friendly theme - has teamed with InComm to launch its first eco membership cards, as it looks to transform the supply chain for prepaid gift cards in the UK.

The new cards are made from FSC card - a first for the UK market - meaning consumers can choose an ethical alternative to traditional Styrene material. The cards can be recycled after use rather than put into landfill.

The partnership allows parents and kids to purchase memberships for the Minimonos site in denominations of £4.95 for one month and £19.95 for six months through key retail outlets such as WH Smith and Sainsbury's.

"We're delighted to be bringing the first eco-cards to market, working with InComm to create and supply products through major retailers to our UK fans, which are supportive of the environmental causes close to their hearts," said Melissa Clark-Reynolds, CEO and founder of MiniMonos.

MiniMonos is also a member of Buy1Give1, a donation initiative that means every time a Gold membership is purchased on the website, a child in India gets a clean water supply.
