Mega Bloks has become the headline sponsor of the annual Mother & Baby Big Heart Awards for the third year in a row.

Mega will once again celebrate the lives of UK families and raise money for baby charity Bliss. The 2013 event will be attended by celebrity guests including long-term supporter and TV personality Saira Khan.

An eight-month Mega Bloks campaign will run in conjunction with Mother & Baby. It will consist of print advertorials, online ads, editorial content, newsletter mentions, competitions and online activity with Ask a Mum. A PR campaign will also raise awareness of the Awards.

“We are delighted to be proud sponsors of the Mother & Baby Big Heart Awards again this year and to support such a worthy charity as Bliss,” said Mega Bloks UK marketing manager Pete Fuller.

“An integral part of our pre-school marketing plans are for Mega Bloks First Builders. The launch of this strategic partnership fits perfectly with the introduction of the new range for pre-schoolers aged one and over this summer.

“With learning through play at our heart, we understand what children need to grow and learn, and this sponsorship is another way for us to show our ongoing commitment to pre-school parents and children during those important early years.

“Helping little ones achieve key milestones, while providing fun and laughter through play, each educational Mega Bloks toy promotes learning, discovery, imagination and creative play at all stages.”

£80,000 was raised for baby charity Bliss at the 2012 Awards last October.
