Mattel is due to report its fiscal second quarter earnings today, with a range of analysts expecting a profit of 11 cents on revenue of $1.03 billion.
Banc of America Securities analyst Michael Savner said that he expects Mattel's results to be driven by Fisher-Price and international results, partly offset by a decline in Barbie sales. He forecast earnings of ten cents per share on revenue of $1.07 billion.
Meanwhile, Lehman Brothers' Felicia Hendrix predicted earnings of 11 cents per share. "We are cautious around the company's domestic Barbie results which we believe will be negative again in the quarter," she told investors last week.
ToyNews will have a full report on Mattel's results later on today.
