Mattel Play! is winging its way to Liverpool, where it will open in time for the Easter holidays.

The family entertainment centre has cost around £1.5 million to produce, and has been in development for around a year, which will open at the end of March.

Various iconic characters will feature at the centre, including Thomas and Friends, Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder.

Each of the characters will also have their own area, where fans can walk in and become immersed in the fictional world.

According to the Liverpool Echo, building work has started on the Grand Hall as the Albert Dock, which is where the attraction will be placed.

Plus, an introductory offer on admission prices have been revealed, with kids costing £10 to attend, and £2 for an accompanying adult.
