Matrix makes its move

Shelcore business relocates to Funrise’s headquarters on West Coast.

Matrix Holdings Ltd will move its Shelcore business in with the recently acquired Funrise Toy Corporation, which is based in Van Nuys, California.

The move will be completed by the beginning of 2008, according to Arnie Rubin the vice chairman of Matrix and president of Funrise and Shelcore.

Rubin said Matrix plans to integrate the operations of each company.

“There’s a great deal of excitement among employees of both companies as we aggressively compete for leadership in the toy and game industry worldwide,” he said.

Funrise manufactures toys for children five and older. Its portfolio includes Gazillion Bubbles, Head Bangers and Zoooos while Shelcore produces toys for the pre-school market.

Vivid Imaginations is about to enter the console market in a joint venture with Nikko, launching a new portable entertainment centre incorporating, games, MP3, video and digital imaging technology.
