Margaret Mahy

Margaret Mahy of Aladdin's Cave, Guernsey and A Hundred and One Toys, Jersey, has died after a long illness at the age of 62.

Margaret opened Aladdin's Cave in Guernsey in 1979 with her husband Eric in an out of town building of some 6.000 sq.feet selling mainly camping equipment, garden furniture and including a small toy department. The business has since expanded considerably and now occupies some 30.000 sq.
feet. Aladdin's Cave is now a major department store with a very large toy and nursery department.

The day to day running of the business is now in the hands of her son Jason, daughter Julie and son in law Rob, who have expanded the business to the largest out of town store in Guernsey taking over the whole site which includes a large car
park and warehousing facilities.
