As part of the strategy the company has appointed Evolution PR, toy industry specialist to head up its consumer drive.
Will Sharman, head of sales for the company, commented: “Maps Toys has some great concepts to offer for the New Year and it is our intention to shout about them, not only to the trade but to the public too.
“Yummy Dough is one such product that has rave reviews and is unlike any other on the market. Consumer PR and marketing through advertising and promotions is certainly the way forward for us in order to support our retailers.”
Maps has already started its consumer campaign to support Christmas sales with a number of road shows demonstrating and sampling Yummy Dough in stores including John Lewis and Peter Jones.
