The 2013 Manchester Gift Show will have a bigger focus on toys.

The success of this year's show proved that there's a need for a Northern-based trade event, say the organisers.

"We are extremely proud of the Manchester Gift Show and received some great feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike," said Chic Events' Mark Greenhalgh.

"The addition of the Demonstration Studio provided a way for exhibitors to interact with visitors to show off their talents, proving that arts and crafts and supporting British-made products is very much on trend.

"We are already planning ahead for the 2013 show, taking on board all the comments we received to ensure we provide an unmissable Northern trade show."

A statement added: "Going forward, the 2013 edition of the Manchester Gift Show plans to expand to include more exhibitors across gift, home, fashion, wellbeing and toys within the modern EventCity venue."
