Gerry Tekerian will retire this summer after spending 34 years in the toy industry.

He is currently European manager for Little Tikes, having been with the brand for over 15 years.

He joined in 1997, when the brand was owned by Rubbermaid, and continued his role when MGA Entertainment acquired Little Tikes in 2006.

Andrew Laughton, MGA Entertainment, UK Managing Director, said: "Little Tikes owes much of its success and its reputation as the leading brand of quality outdoor toys to Gerry.

"Indeed there are few people in the industry who can claim to have helped maintain a number one brand positioning for the duration of their time in one company, but with the success of the Cozy Coupe - Gerry is one of them.

"Gerry’s journey and longevity through the toy industry proves conclusively he is someone who has huge passion, support and loyalty for the brands for whom he works and for the toy industry in general. He will be sorely missed here at Little Tikes."

Tekerian plans to enjoy his retirement with his wife Francesca of 39 years, who has also recently retired as a teacher. They have three children and are looking forward to spending some of their free time pursuing their love of travel.
