Big Potato, the creators of Linkee and Bucket of Doom, will be showcasing its two new games at this month's Board Game Club.

Taking place on June 25th at Brasserie 43, the event will welcome the firm's latest creations: Qwordie, a mix of a quiz and word game, and Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout, an old-style Western shootout but with brains for guns.

Both games are John Lewis exclusives and are set to be on sale from August across the country.

"The Big Potato gang has been busy working away in their Shoreditch Potato Cave to create two new games called Qwordie and Mr. Lister," said Big Potato's Dean Tempest.

"Qwordie is a tasty mix of a quiz and word game. Once upon a time a cheeky little word game from across the tracks met a beautiful word game from the big house on the hill. Nine months later…out popped Qwordie.

"Mr. Lister is like an old-style Western shootout but with brains for guns. When he asks a question, just don’t run out of answers. We’re looking forward to letting the Board Game Club lot try them out before they hit the shops in August."

Board Game Club co-founder Lesley Singleton added: “This is brilliant news. Linkee and Bucket of Doom are both Board Game Club classics these days, so we can’t wait to get our mitts on Mr Lister and Qwordie.

"I’ve been lucky enough to see and play them both at various stages of their development and I just know that our crowd are going to love them both.”

The event will also welcome some new games picked up at this year's UK Games Expo, plus a few 'hot off the Kickstarter presses'.
