Licensing Summit takes shape

Inaugural Emap event adds key speakers to line-up.

The new two-day licensing conference from Emap is shaping up well, with a number of key speakers signed up from the likes of Disney Consumer Products, London 2012 and Woolworths.

Licensing Summit is being held on September 11th-12th at The Brewery in London, with the format of the conference allowing delegates to pick and choose the sessions they most want to attend. Talks and seminars will cover the likes of business strategy, consumer insight, category trends and spotlight sessions to allow delegates to get the most value for money.

Highlights will include a keynote from Anne Gates, executive VP and MD Europe of Disney Consumer Products on driving global licensing success in a volatile retail market. Commercial director of Woolworths, Jo Hall, Chris Townsend from London 2012 and John Nens, director of global brand licensing for Ford Motor Company will also be speaking.

A number of big names have also confirmed their attendance. Alan Fenwick, VP EMEA at Cartoon Network, said: "We strongly believe this is the sort of forum the industry needs, which is why we are happy to give it our full backing."

The event, which is organised by Emap Conferences, is being supported by Broadcast, Retail Week, Screen International, Spring Fair and Autumn Fair.
