Learning Resources is continuing with its expansion plans into new European retail markets, signing an exclusive agreement with a new Spanish distributor.

The firm has inked a two-year deal with Madrid-based Feran to provide exclusive distribution for its best selling toys and learning aids in indie stores throughout Spain.

Feran owns 13 speciality toy stores across Spain with an area up to 600m2.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for Learning Resources," said Dennis Blackmore, MD at the firm. "Feran shares many of the same values as Learning Resources, providing its customers with the best services, most innovative products and the highest levels of quality within the field of education.

"We are very excited about the partnership and see this as a major launch platform for the Learning Resources brand in southern Europe."

In addition to the deal, 25 Feran staff also completed a Learning Resources product immersion and familiarisation training day at the firm's Madrid offices.

Carmen Gimenez (pictured), European account sales manager at Learning Resources, commented: "It was a really great day and the team from Feran were really engaged by our products. We presented Learning Resources' diverse collection of educational toys and games, plus we had a lot of fun playing various board games - there's no better way of getting to grips with a product than playing with it."
