Learning Resources makes double appointment

The educational toy specialist has welcomed a new senior marketing manager and an international sales customer relations coordinator.

Educational toy brand, Learning Resources has welcomed a new senior marketing manager and a new international sales customer relations coordinator to its UK team.

Claire Johnston (pictured left) has joined the Lynn-based toy firm to head up its marketing operations.

A mother and chair of governors at her local infant school, Johnston boasts a wealth of experience in the marketing sector, having previously held positions with Procter and Gamble and the Foreign Commonwealth Office.

“I am really delighted to join the business at such an exciting time and to be able to draw on my broad experience across marketing, communications and events,” said Johnston.

“I am really looking forward to marketing such great high quality products, that are both fun and educational.”

Meanwhile, in the newly created role of international sales customer relations coordinator, Claire Caldairou (pictured right) is an Applied Foreign Language and Project Management graduate.

Caldairou will now take over responsibility for Learning Resources’ smaller international customers, with a further remit for developing the firm’s market presence in France.

Dennis Blackmore, managing director at Learning Resources, said: “Claire’s appointment is a strategic investment to support the company’s plans for growth in the wider European, African and Middle Eastern markets.”

Caldairou added: “I was looking for a new challenge in my career and the opportunity to work in an educational business that combines learning with fun was one I couldn’t resist.

“I am very much looking forward to my new role and I relish my remit to develop the brand’s presence in my home country.”
