Learning Resources bolsters team

Brace of new hires further strengthens UK firm in its 20th year.

Learning Resources has bolstered its head count to 30 in the UK, welcoming two new members of staff.

Peter Ward joins the firm as UK retail sales account manager and boasts over 30 years of experience in the toy industry, having worked with brands including Marbel and Brio. Meanwhile, Joanne Moore joins the firm's expanding product development team.

"These two strategic appointments have been carefully aligned to complement our business objectives and we are delighted to welcome Peter and Joanne to our close knit team," said Dennis Blackmore, MD at Learning Resources.

Ward added: "The ambition and drive that I've seen at Learning Resources is inspiring and I'm very excited to join such a successful business and to be part of its growth plans."

Moore - who is a qualified primary school teacher and has four years teaching experience at reception level - continued: "This is a step change for my career and one that is hugely exciting. I'm confident that my hands-on experience of working on a day to day basis in a school environment will bring invaluable insight to my new role in the development of new, engaging and exciting educational toys that will appeal to parents and children, as well as teachers and schools."
