The company is seeking an individual to effectively manage the brand categories to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets for the UK market and deliver new product development in line with the category plans.

The successful candidate will formulate, implement and control marketing investment plans, and will coach, mentor and train the junior marketing assistant.

Role responsibilities will include formulating category strategies and defining, agreeing and sharing UK business and marketing plans.

The new recruit will need to work closely with sales to develop distribution channels, manage the PR programme and its key messages, and control and monitor the ATL / BTL consumer activity and expenditure using the A&P budget.

In addition, the brand manager will develop advertising for use across a range of media. They will create strong licensor relationships, working with agency partners and utilising all available research tools to enhance short and medium term decision making, to ensure the firm gives and is given the highest possible standard of service.

Performance will be measured on brand turnover and profit, new product performance and product availability, as well as A&P control and internal and external relationships.

Marvin’s Magic is the UK’s number one magic brand and is the creator of the first and only range of magic ever to be approved by The Magic Circle.

Marvin Berglas established the company in 1987 and the Marvin’s Magic range is sold in specialist and mass retailers across the UK and Europe, as well as in the international flagship Toys R Us store in Times Square, New York.
