K'Nex Brands is launching a range of Plants vs Zombies construction toys, set to launch across the UK in autumn 2014.

The new range based on the globally successful mobile app gaming property will be showcased to the industry at January's London Toy Fair.

The new set will feature popular characters from the game such as Sunflower, Wall-nut, Peashooter, Zombie and Mummy zombie, all joining the firm's line-up of popular licenses such as Angry Birds and Super Mario.

Paul Frogarty, managing director of K'Nex UK, said: "We are delighted to be able to deliver a range of Plants vs Zombies buildings sets for the game's many millions of UK fans.

"This addition further strengthens our portfolio of powerful licensed construction sets that showcases the open-ended play and creativity of K'Nex with the characters that children love, and delivers our promise of 'Building Worlds Kids Love'."

Plants vs Zombies has won over 30 Game of the Year awards, while Plants vs Zombies 2 achieved over 25 million downloads within a few weeks of its launch.
