Kipp recalls Mag Stix

Kipp Brothers has become the latest firm to recall a magnetic building line.

The US firm has recalled about 800 Mag Stix magnetic building sets after a child required surgery to remove swallowed magnets.

The toy set, made in China, consists of 24 short plastic sticks and balls containing small magnets that may fall out, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.

The US consumer safety agency has recalled more than 635,000 Chinese-made toys, key chains and other products.
