Nostalgia: It ain’t what it used to be. Or is it?

In the same way that songs can conjure up vivid memories, toys have that same time travel quality, sending you scuttling back to a bygone era in a blaze of Technicolor. The likes of David Bowie, T Rex and Slade were the soundtrack to my early years, flares were what we all wore and Action Man was the toy that meant the most to me as a child. This year, one not-so-new toy above all others has caught my eye.
