Topps is an international publisher of children’s sports and entertainment collectables with a portfolio of licences from Premier League football to TV shows and movies such as Star Wars.

The firm is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to perform senior level production planning and purchasing activities.

Responsible for the overall production plan and working in conjunction with internal departments such as creative/editorial and marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of KPIs in the areas of product cost, production deadlines and product sourcing.

Ideal candidates will have a successful track record of managing a planning team within a production/manufacturing environment and will have a sound knowledge of formal planning techniques. The firm is also looking for someone who posseses excellent communication skills with a ‘can do' attitude.

Key skills for the role include a strong understanding of material requirements and forward planning and a good understanding of supply chain configuration and materials principals.

The successful candidate will have the ability to produce relevant and well presented analysis and will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with external suppliers and partners.

Product costs will need to be managed to budget and lead times reduced. Another key part of the role will be supplier quality and performance management including risk reviews and product safety testing/compliance.

Candidates will preferably have a CIPS qualification and experience of LCC sourcing would be helpful.

Salary £35k to £45k subject to qualifications and experience.
