The Meccano motorbike famous for its role in James May's BBC Toy Stories and completed a full circuit of the Isle of Man TT course, is rolling into the MCN Motorcycle show this weekend.

The bike - made from over 15,000 pieces of Meccano - was risen around the famous TT circuit by the TV presenter himself and will be on its own stand in the Classics Zone at the show.

The stand will be situated close to part of James May's classic Honda Collection.

Emma Eden, marketing manager, Spin Master Toys UK, said: "The interest in the Meccano motorbike has been overwhelming.

"When we offered it to the MCN Motorcycle Show they almost bit our hand off. The bike wil be on display in the Classics Zone and we're hoping James May will pop over to say hello and see his creation as his collection will be close by."

The Meccano motorcycle and sidecar was built using standard Meccano components.

The MCN Motorcycle Show at Excel in London runs from Thursday, February 14th until Sunday, February 16th.
