Jakks signs Mr Men deal

Jakks Pacific has signed a licensing deal for the Mr Men in the US.

The agreement will allow Jakks to develop a market a line of consumer products in the lifestyle industry such as collectible vinyl figures, room décor, make-your-own jewellery kits and electronic accessories.

The products will target the tween audience and are expected to launch in 2008.

Jennifer Richmond, senior vice-president of licensing and media for Jakks said: ”The Mr. Men and Little Miss property has been growing in popularity, especially among the tween and teen audience, with the characters having gained a following with the trendsetters of the fashion world”.

Pamela Ferris-Muller, US vice president of licensing for Chorion Silver Lining added: “This agreement furthers Chorion’s plan to provide a diverse selection of quality branded merchandise to Mr. Men and Little Miss fans of all ages”.



Mr Men to return

Popular children's characters the Mr Men are returning to British TV for the first time in more than a decade.
